What You'll Do:

Strategic Client Partnerships

  • Own a portfolio of senior client relationships, building trust at the VP and C-Suite level across digital, content, media and revenue functions
  • Develop and deliver digital strategy roadmaps, strategic audits and executive strategy sessions that connect WSC’s capabilities directly to client business objectives
  • Conduct organizational mapping across key client accounts to identify and cultivate new executive-level stakeholder relationships

Revenue & Expansion

  • Identify expansion opportunities and contribute to expansion pipeline through strategy-led initiatives, working in close partnership with Account Management and Business Development
  • Develop monetization strategies for clients across their digital ecosystem, translating WSC’s capabilities into tangible revenue outcomes

Digital Audits & Insights

  • Lead strategic audits of client digital ecosystems: channels, O&O properties, content performance, fan engagement and competitive landscape
  • Use data to build compelling strategic narratives both internally and externally
  • Stay current on trends in sports media, digital monetization, fan engagement and platform innovation and bring that knowledge proactively into client conversations

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Development and Account Management teams to align on account health, identify risks early and co-develop strategic growth plans
  • Feed market and client needs to Product and R&D to shape WSC’s roadmap
  • Collaborate with Content Strategy to build integrated strategies that drive both performance revenue

Requirements:

What You'll Need:

  • 5-8 years of experience in digital strategy, sports consulting or a senior client-facing digital role, with direct experience working with or inside sports organizations, leagues, broadcasters or rights holders.
  • Demonstrated track record of executive-level relationships at sports properties.
  • Experience conducting strategic digital audits and delivering roadmaps that lead to measurable outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer-facing digital products (apps, websites, OTT platforms, social, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of B2C fan engagement funnels from awareness through monetization.
  • Comfort working with data and translating it into executive-level strategic narratives.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working inside, or at least with, sports organizations
  • Experience owning or marketing an OTT product, and the revenue and/or fan data opportunity this offers.
  • Understanding of how sports rights holders drive revenue from digital (direct and indirect)
  • Experience delivering commercial value from some combination of ad technology, digital sponsorship, product (OTT, ticketing, merchandising) sale.
  • Experience in working with sports organizations
  • Experience working in a sports media / agency

Compensation, Benefits And Perks:

WSC Sports US-based roles range in salary from $150,000 - $170,000.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and education. On top of the base salary, the benefits available for this position are:
