Why WSC Sports:

You'll work in an exciting environment alongside some of the most innovative people in the industry, using cutting-edge tools and technologies. At WSC Sports, you have the opportunity to directly influence the products and solutions used by our clients worldwide, including sports giants such as the NBA, Bundesliga, LaLiga, ESPN - and that's just the beginning of what we have to offer! Join us and be a part of the best tech team as we Fuel The Fandom.

As the product- R&D operation team leader, you’ll serve as a critical link between Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Leads, Customer Success, Support, Business Development, Marketing, and other Go-to-Market teams.

You’ll operate much like a product manager—but for the product organization itself. Your mission will be to identify internal operational needs, prioritize them, and develop scalable AI tools, processes, and procedures that enable the team to plan, build, and deliver outstanding products efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Owning and evolving our operational infrastructure: Manage and continuously improve core product processes, tools, and rituals to support product development at scale.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Drive alignment and collaboration across departments to ensure streamlined execution and communication. For example:
  • Partner with Marketing to manage the internal product newsletter and product updates.
  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market teams (Customer Success, Support, Sales, etc.) to manage product release readiness, drive enablement, and close feedback loops between the field and product teams.
  • Transforming internal operations into scalable solutions: Identify pain points and opportunities within product workflows, then design, implement, and roll out effective processes and tools that enhance planning, execution, and delivery. Continuously monitor performance, gather feedback, and optimize over time.
  • Act as the operational bridge between Product and R&D: Serve as the go-to person for operational alignment between the two departments. This includes overseeing quarterly and annual planning, feature data validation, ensuring teams adhere to bug-related SLAs, and managing shared visibility tools such as team monitoring dashboards.
  • Own our Jira setup and workflows: Ensure our product and engineering tooling reflects our operating model and supports planning, execution, and reporting needs.
  • Champion agile best practices: Provide hands-on support and coaching to product and R&D teams on agile methodologies—facilitating high-quality ceremonies, backlog management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Operations within B2B SaaS companies
  • Proven track record of managing product releases and working closely with Go-to-Market teams
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of leadership experience, managing teams.
  • Hands-on experience owning Jira at scale and supporting Product/R&D workflows
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), with the ability to coach teams on best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a wide range of personas
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple stakeholder needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly self-motivated, quick learner, process-oriented, and methodical
  • Fluent English – both written and verbal

You are a good fit for this role if you are a problem solver, self-learner, highly motivated and outside-the-box thinker and yet very organized and methodological.
