We are looking for a highly skilled C++ Backend Engineer to join our fullstack team, which is responsible for the company's video encoding and rendering infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer graphics and extensive experience in C++. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and optimize our backend systems for high-performance video rendering, ensuring seamless and high-quality content for our users.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power high-performance video rendering and encoding, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.-
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality, efficient backend solutions.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainability and scalability of the rendering infrastructure.
  • Optimize algorithms and graphics pipelines to enhance rendering performance and stability while minimizing latency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments, providing timely resolutions to maintain uninterrupted service.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in computer graphics, video encoding, and backend development, applying them to continuously improve our platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions to foster continuous improvement and innovation in our team.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized university.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development, particularly in backend systems for high-performance applications.
  • Strong background in computer graphics development, with experience in OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, or similar technologies.
  • Proven experience in working within cross-functional, collaborative environments, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about learning and driven by a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges and driving innovation.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with video streaming or encoding technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure.
  • Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and orchestration tools, e.g., Kubernetes.
