Our technical stack comprises various systems and services built on Amazon Web Services. We use GraphQL, React, GoLang, NodeJS, CircleCI, Kubernetes, Kafka, DynamoDB, and Aurora DB.

What you'll do

• You’ll develop inclusive teams in which people are empowered to do the best work of their careers.

• You’ll mentor and grow engineers while keeping them engaged and focused on the product and company vision.

• You’ll partner with business stakeholders and Product Management to craft and evolve the team’s vision, mission, and strategy and solve problems as they arise.

• You’ll help implement effective engineering processes and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress.

• You’ll help set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.

• You’ll work with software vendor partners where needed on integration design and resolving any issues.

About you

• Minimum of 3 years of experience serving in an engineering management role

• You are not expected to deliver code, but you should possess enough technical experience to guide solutioning and design

• You are very organized. With many people doing many things in a fast-moving company, strong organizational skills—both for yourself and for the team—will be required.

• You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• You are able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company.

• You love helping engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers. You don’t shy away from performance conversations and you recognize the relationship between constructive feedback and career growth.

• Experience with data storage, relational and non-relational databases

• Experience in service-oriented and microservice architectures

• Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.

Nice to have skills

• Prior experience working in the supply chain domain

• Experience in a 24×7 high-availability production environment

• Experience with Test automation, CI/CD

• Experience with event based architectures and technologies such as Kafka or similar

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $160,000 - $185,000 per year, plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
