Splash Financial is seeking an experienced and customer-focused credit strategist to directly oversee the development and implementation of credit fraud and verification strategies across all acquisition channels. You will be collaborating closely with our Operations, Product, and Data Science teams to optimize data capture processes, enhance the verification funnel customer experience, and increase conversion rates, while maintaining a balanced approach to risk, lender return, business revenue and most importantly, customer experience.

  • Develop, monitor, and refine verification and fraud strategies, utilizing data from multiple vendors.
  • Develop pend and verification strategy to verify borrower’s ability to pay, employment status, income, bank account validity, and identity.
  • Collaborate with the product team to find unique data sources that can be used to improve and optimize verification process flow for better customer experience, hence, application flow efficiency.
  • Maintain adherence to overall risk and return targets for investors.
  • Design and execute A/B testing initiatives to continuously identify opportunities to improve customer experience, while effectively managing credit and fraud risk


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management roles, with at least 3 years of experience specializing in fraud and verification strategies within the consumer lending industry.
  • Experience in unsecured lending and installment loan industries.
  • Obsessed with customer experience and always finding ways to make it better.
  • Highly curious on finding insights and opportunities through vast amounts of data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is a MUST.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
