About the Role:
We're looking for a scrappy, all-hands on deck People Ops & Recruiting Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to our Sr Director of People, you'll be owning everything from payroll and benefits, office management, culture and engagement programs, and supporting our recruiting efforts as we grow our teams. This is a hybrid role, so if you're looking for an opportunity to make a tremendous impact doing people-focused work, this role is for you! You'll get high exposure to our senior leadership team and be the go-to person for our employees as we build out some high-value people programs that ensure our employees are taken care of! **While this job is primarily remote, we are looking for candidates who are based in Cleveland, OH -or- close enough proximity as we require that you will be able to come into our headquarters at least 1-2x a month**
What You'll Do:
- Maintain and update data in our HRIS system, ensure accurate payroll processing, and conduct routine audits for compliance
- Maintain HR Intranet with relevant policies and documents, and bring zest to our employee resources pages
- Process new hires and own onboarding new employees, including conducting background checks, verifying I-9 employment eligibility, and creating and maintaining employee profiles
- Provide employment verifications and respond to employee inquiries; at times, partner with employees in an HRBP capacity to support where needed
- Own U.S. benefits administration and assist with annual benefits open enrollment planning and execution
- Drive execution and creation of HR events and programs (e.g., performance reviews, training, etc.)
- Drive recruiting best practices through supporting our Hiring Managers with open headcount searches; owning the interview process from sourcing candidates all the way to making offers and onboarding
What You'll Bring to Splash:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 1-3 years in people operations/HR generalist role
- Experience with recruiting preferred, but not required
- Previous exposure to a tech startup environment required
- Ability and passion to wear multiple hats, work with ambiguity, and desire to create and build new processes and programs
- Eagerness to learn and grown in the People and Talent space
- Possesses excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communications skills
