Role

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in streamlining our software development lifecycle. The Senior DevOps Engineer manages and improves the communication and processes between the operational and developmental sides of the software development process. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration, and ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our applications.

Responsibilites

• Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery across multiple environments.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Implement and maintain monitoring systems to proactively identify and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues.
• Provide DevOps mentorship, best practices, and training to team members.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams for requirements and design reviews.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Work with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Analyze failures and collaborate with engineers on root cause analysis and suggest fixes and mitigations.
• Participate in Agile processes including scrum ceremonies, sprint-based development, and continuous improvement.
• Create and review documentation required for developing secure, HIPAA compliant cloud infrastructure.
• Provide status to stakeholders, measuring overall progress and completion of development tasks.
• Assist with hiring cloud team engineers.
• Excellent attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency with the development of and support of major cloud infrastructure and platform services (Amazon Web Services).
• Proficiency with configuring continuous integration software and code pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with container and container management technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with configuration management systems for cloud infrastructure (Terraform).
• Experience with event monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, AWS CloudWatch).
• Demonstrated coding experience with an interpreted programming or scripting language (Python, Bash, JavaScript).
• Experience with the Git source control system and ability to assist others in troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot runtime errors in common programming languages (Python, JavaScript).
• Understanding of Agile software development and management tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment.
• Experience with office suite software (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in a DevOps Engineer or related role

Education/Experience Preferred

• Healthcare industry experience in a regulated environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field equivalent
