Senior Manger, Product Management

Branch is on a mission to make insurance less expensive, so more people can be covered. We innovate using data, tech, and automation to simplify insurance from start to finish—we eliminated inaccurate quotes in favor of real prices, created a better way to bundle, and cut unnecessary costs in the traditional insurance process. Then we pass those savings along to our members. Basically, we’re doing insurance the way it was meant to be.

But we didn’t just create the insurance we’ve always wanted, we also created the company we’ve always wanted to work for. As we redefine insurance, we also want to redefine what it means to work in insurance. Find out for yourself.

Branch has a preference for candidates in Ohio, but is open to candidates located in AL, AZ, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS. MO, NE, NV, NJ, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI.

Branch is remote first, with most Branchers choosing to work from home. Our headquarters are located in Columbus, Ohio, where we come together from time to time to build relationships and connect with each other in real life. Once a year, the entire company gathers for “BranchFest”, a highlight of the year for many Branchers.

About the Senior Manager, Insurance Product role

At Branch, our Product team plays a critical role in shaping an insurance offering that’s built for longevity, grounded in risk awareness, and laser-focused on our Members. In this role, you’ll lead execution for multiple states and lines of business, bringing pricing, product, and underwriting strategies to life.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a player-coach position—comfortable managing day-to-day execution while guiding cross-functional teams, building operational structure, and mentoring others along the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own execution of product strategy for multiple personal lines (auto and homeowners) across several states, in alignment with leadership direction.

  • Translate pricing and product concepts into filing-ready documentation and partner with actuarial and compliance teams to prepare SERFF filings.

  • Oversee the performance of assigned states, tracking growth and profitability while recommending adjustments to improve outcomes.

  • Coordinate day-to-day product activities, working closely with underwriting, data, and engineering to ensure timely and effective delivery of initiatives.

  • Manage and guide junior product analysts or team members, helping them build technical and operational skillsets.

  • Act as the resident expert on assigned lines and markets, communicating market trends, regulatory developments, and performance data clearly across teams.

  • Partner with developers, designers, and data teams to translate product requirements into features or operational tools.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Personal Lines Product Management (auto and homeowners).

  • Strong working knowledge of pricing methodologies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects across teams, juggle shifting priorities, and communicate updates clearly.

  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, helping them build technical and operational skillsets.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally, especially with actuarial, engineering, and compliance partners.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with strong self-direction and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and surface insights to drive business decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
